Before & After

Living Small in University Park

In a neighborhood where tear-downs and mini-mansions are the norm, one homeowner decided to restore her 1930's bungalow and garden instead of calling in the bulldozer.  The small footprint of the house and its screen porch left plenty of space for sitting areas, a small lawn, and perennial gardens in sun and shade.  Read more about the project at the owners blog, Smallrooms http://www.smallrooms.com/landscape-3/

Creative Restoration

After being unused for decades, the pool had become derelict and dangerous.  What was once a liability has become a “swimming pond”.  This water garden, complete with plants and fish, still gives its owners a place for a refreshing dip on a summer afternoon.

Historic Beauty

Remodeling this historic house had left the back garden a war zone of construction debris.  In its place, a formal landscape reminiscent of colonial Williamsburg has perennials, culinary herbs, and a fountain.
